"Kids Meet Art"™ at Spencer Loomis

The Northwest Cultural Council and TARGET sponsored a "Kids Meet Art"™ day for the Spencer Loomis PTA’s “Journey Into the Arts” on December 15, 2010.  The children participating were in kindergarten through 3rd grade.  The "Kids Meet Art"™ presenter was Darlene Eiffes.

Here Darlene explains symmetry.  Both wings of the butterfly are identical, just like the ears on each side of our heads.
The students begin to fold the paper that will become their butterfly	Children working hard on each of their butterflies.
The Council is happy to acknowledge the participation of all the parents and teachers who offered assistance with the cutting and pasting as the children completed their butterflies.
